Extension Of Period Of Waiver Of Fee For Registration Under The Battery (Management and Handling) Rules, 2001 In Rajasthan

The Rajasthan State pollution Control Board vide notification no. F16(Gen-110)RPCB/Battery/Haz./Jaipur/968 has directed that the period of waiver of registration fee of Rs.10000 (Rupees ten thousand only) for dealers for registration under the Battery (Management and Handling) Rules, 2001 is hereby extended up to 30th of September 2021. The decision is taken in view of the current Covid-19 Pandemic situation. It is further directed that no more waiver in registration fee will be considered and action is to be taken against dealers who fail to get registered

Implementation Of Newly Developed JVS Module In Maharashtra

Maharashtra Pollution Control Board vide Notification No.MPCB/EIC/IMIS/210730-FTS-0154 has notified the implementation of newly developed JVS Module. Industries are charged for the samples collected during inspections based on its type and parameters. Currently, manual bills are generated and the industries were bound to make payment via Demand Draft, Cheque etc., So as to ease the process of JVS payments and to make it user friendly, JVS module has been developed and made live from 1st August 2021 on IMIS and MPCB web portal. Requirement Of Environmental Clearance For Re-Rolling, Cold Rolling Units And Cold Rolled Coils In Maharashtra

Maharashtra Pollution Control Board vide Notification No. MPCB/JD(APC)/Rolling Mill/TB/B-0141 has directed that in compliance with the Hon'ble NGT Order dated 12 February 2020, the Re-rolling/Cold rolling units/cold rolled coils established or operating with consent to establish/operate shall apply for environment clearance and obtain environmental clearance from competent authority under EIA Notification 2006 on or before 22/10/2021. Assam PCB Issues Notification On Implementing Environmental Compensation For Violating Noise Pollution Rules

Assam Pollution Control Board vide notification no. WB/LAB-362/21-22/711/228 has directed the deputy commissioner and police commissioner to implement the scale of compensation for violation of the Noise Pollution Rules, 2000.In order to ensure compliance of the existing rules and prevent further violation of noise level with respect to prescribed standard’s/limit and in the exercise of the power delegated to the chairman, CPCB under section 5 of environment protection act 1986 the chairman, CPCB directed the chairman, Pollution Control Board Assam to direct the designed authorities of the state to implement the scale of compensation for violation of Noise Pollution Rules, 2000.The Standards have been fixed for most of the major source of noise as well as ambient noise level in different category areas such as silence zone, commercial, industrial, and residential area. Further, it has fixed the noise limit for generator sets run with petrol or kerosene, noise limit for automobiles, construction equipment’s etc. Please refer to the notification for more details
